Wellington-based construction company with over 20 years' experience
Aspec Wellington has spent 20-plus years in the local market. Aspec Wellington prides itself on being relationship focused. The current directors, Dave Hurley & Martin Irvine, have a combined 34 years spent at Aspec, with almost 60 years of industry experience. Over this time the duo have built their core values of transparent, open communication; building a reputation allowing them to work with clients repeatedly over a long period of time.
With its 20-something permanent staff Aspec Wellington works with developers to consultants, to various institutions and the wider community. When we are not on site working we are promoting a family-based approach, staff are partaking in social activities from quad biking, pub quizzes to fishing trips. Aspec Wellington prides itself on the support given to charitable trusts, local sports clubs/teams as well as providing a training programme and apprenticeships. We have a close relationship with WELTEC with a number of students working through their time.
Aspec Wellington is here to build people and communities not just buildings and structures.

Staff / Apprenticeships / Social Events
Aspec Wellington has a commitment to training people in the industry. This is a need more than ever with a shortage of skilled personnel in the building industry throughout NZ. With a diverse range of people working within the company we try and promote an atmosphere where each person’s individuality remains but they are also part of a team. We offer social trips that take people out of their comfort zones and give them an experience they would not normally get through to events that allow all the staff to interact with each other. By building confidence in staff and growing their abilities we find staff enjoy coming to work, and in turn this helps Aspec deliver a better quality product.
